The community of Osage, Iowa is united in grief as we mourn the passing of Kole William Broderick, a beloved son, friend, and cherished member of the community, who passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 7:19 p.m. in the Critical Care Unit at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. At just 30 years old, Kole’s life was tragically cut short, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Kole was known for his vibrant spirit, genuine kindness, and the warmth he brought to every room he entered. Whether spending time with family, catching up with lifelong friends, or engaging with members of the community, Kole had a rare ability to make people feel valued and seen. His authenticity, compassion, and joyful personality left an enduring impact on countless individuals, inspiring others to approach life with gratitude, purpose, and positivity.
A private family service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel, offering loved ones an opportunity to gather in intimate remembrance. Later that evening, the broader community is invited to join in honoring his life at a Celebration of Life at the Osage American Legion from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This gathering will serve as a heartfelt tribute to Kole’s legacy—a time to share stories, reflect on cherished memories, and support one another during an incredibly difficult loss.
